About Wild Sky Adventure Learning
Wild Sky Adventure Learning is a Saskatchewan-based non-profit run by parents, teachers, and nature lovers. We’re dedicated to creating hands-on learning experiences on the land and under the sky for children and adults. Our programs are adventurous, curiosity-driven, and exploratory by nature, and we strive to make them accessible to all, often at little or no cost.
Honouring Our Roots
We proudly carry forward the legacy of the Saskatchewan Boreal Forest Learning Centre, whose vision and work laid the groundwork for what we do today. For over a decade, the Centre brought children into the forest and the forest into classrooms, building the extensive trail system at Ness Creek and sharing the wonders of the boreal ecosystem. We bring their deep reverence for the land — forest, prairie, and everything in between — into every Wild Sky program.

“Our family loved our time at Forest Kids Camp! A. learned so much and became even more excited with each passing day. We’ll certainly be back.”
Why We Do What We Do
Our work is inspired by many powerful ideas and movements, including:
Making Indigenous-led education a public policy priority — Samuel Centre for Social Connectedness
The benefits of land-based learning — The Nature Playbook (Canadian Parks Council)
Rights of children to learn and grow — UNICEF & the Convention on the Rights of the Child
Radical, play-focused, curiosity-led approaches — #RadicalChildcare, Ken Robinson, Molly Wright & more
Climate change education and fostering stewardship of the land.
The Space on H
We’re proud to be part of creating The Space on H — a welcoming community hub in the heart of Saskatoon’s core neighbourhood. Together with amazing local partners, we helped bring this warm-up shelter and gathering place to life. It’s now a vibrant spot for community events, food programs, and nature-based activities, and it serves as a cozy home base for many of our Wild Sky programs through every season.
